Established in 2013, the Future Leaders in Innovation are a group of like-minded employees who strive to promote and encourage positive change at Synnovis. During a two-year programme, they are encouraged to develop, lead and manage a number of initiatives including Synnovis Quality Day, Connect, Synnovis Career Development Programme and the Future Leader’s Podcast Series. Currently, the group consists of eleven enthusiastic colleagues from across the organisation.
The Future Leaders in Innovation established the SYNLAB Peer-2-Peer lecture series (formerly known as the CPD lecture series) to provide an opportunity for colleagues to engage in continuing professional development (CPD). The series consists of interesting and informative lectures covering a wide range of pathology topics and participants are encouraged to undertake reflective learning. All of the lectures are live-streamed via Microsoft Teams and made available on Synnovis’ intranet “Synfo” for colleagues to access at a later time.
Below are the recordings of the three most recent lectures brought to you by the Future Leaders: ‘Clots and Covid-19: lessons learnt’ by Prof. Beverley Hunt, Strategic Lead in Laboratory Haematology, ‘Accrediting the unaccreditable: Platelet Testing in the diagnostic lab’ by Ellie Foxton, Principal Biomedical Scientist in the Haemostasis & Thrombosis Laboratory at St Thomas’ Hospital, and ‘An overview of the biochemical assessment of the growth hormone axis’ by Dr Phillip Monaghan, Head of Service and Consultant Clinical Biochemist at the Christie Pathology Partnership.
If there is a particular topic you would like to see or if you are interested in delivering a future lecture as part of the series, please contact [email protected]
