Statement: Update – Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham (BGL) new Date for Pathology Service Transfer

Published: 3rd November 2021 - All information correct at time of publication.

A new date to transfer pathology services for primary and community services in Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham (BGL) to Viapath has been agreed by all the healthcare organisations involved.

The transfer will now take place on Friday, 12 November 2021

This follows the decision taken to defer the transfer from its original date of 29 October, so essential final checks could be undertaken.

Please note that all parties are fully committed to a transfer of 12 November and this date will not change or be further deferred.

Thank you to everyone involved for all your efforts to ensure we achieve a smooth and seamless transfer for the benefit of clinicians and patients.
